Kawhi Leonard to sign with the LA Clippers, also trades for Paul George
Kawhi Leonard finally made his decision on free agency, and it was not the decision most Angelinos wanted to hear.
The Los Angeles Clippers are signing Kawhi Leonard on a four-year, $141 million contract.
Not only did the Clippers land Leonard, the reigning NBA Finals most valuable player and the most coveted free agents this summer, late Friday night, but they also added a second star, Paul George. I don't know how the little brothers of LA did it, but they did it, and I am absolutely disgusted.
Lawrence Frank, President of Basketball Operations certainly did not mind trading four future unprotected first-round picks along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari to Oklahoma City since he understands those players will not be enough to win.
The Clippers were going to do anything they can to not let Kawhi Leonard walk into the ill-fated Lakers locker room, which is next door.
But, Lebron James and Anthony Davis have other plans to foil this homecoming parade for Kawhi Leonard.
Kawhi will soon understand this, Los Angeles will always be a Lakers town, whether you like it or not.
